Travel Ambassadors
Hopelink partners with social services agencies and community organizations to provide travel training and resources to employees who work with clients. Increase client independence and mobility through reliable transportation information and education about options “beyond the bus.” Want to provide this resource to your staff and clients?
Register your staff for Hopelink’s free comprehensive training. Trip planning tools, bus schedules, permit & pass options, service animals and mobility devices are addressed in the training session. Attendees receive a transportation reference manual, brochures, and other materials to assist clients. Hopelink provides on-going support to keep staff up to date as programs and transportation options change. Ride Around The Sound (RAS)
Hopelink partners with social services agencies and organizations to provide Ride Around the Sound (RAS) excursions to groups who are unfamiliar with transit and/or the Puget Sound area. This community-building program will increase independence and mobility through guided excursions to cultural, educational, or outdoor events and sites. Pre-trip instruction included and fares are provided by King County Metro and Sound Transit. Organizations and agencies that serve immigrant and refugee populations, veterans, and lower-income or Limited English Proficiency (LEP) individuals may participate. Interpreters are available when needed to provide an educational, fun, and safe experience. Excursions will begin early 2012 for groups of 8-10.
