Securing safe, affordable child care is the #1 barrier to low income parents in finding and maintaining their jobs. Meanwhile, homelessness and poverty can cause a profound sense of grief and loss in children. In order for a family to find stability, the children must be nurtured and allowed to thrive in a high-quality affordable setting, so that parents can work on obtaining skills and employment.

Hopelink’s child care programs are child centered and individualized, including many elements of the Reggio Emilia approach, which is based on the child’s need to be an active learner. Projects help children learn cooperative, social and cognitive skills. Art is used to help children communicate, explore and express ideas.

  • Gammie's Room at our Bellevue center. (Short-term only, while parents attend food banks, meetings or classes)
