DART Ride Request

Document Actions
A transportation service operated by Hopelink, under contract with King County Metro Transit

King County Metro's Dial-a-Ride Transit (DART) offers variable routing in some areas within King County.  By using vans that can go off regular routes to pick up and drop off passengers within a defined service area, DART service may allow you to arrange for transit service closer to a location. DART does not go door to door. It operates on a fixed schedule, but one that has more flexibility than regular Metro Transit buses.  The cost for this service is the same as the regular one- and two-zone fares for the Metro fixed route service.  Ask the DART driver for a transfer to use on any of Metro's regular bus routes.

You can request customized rides on DART by using the form below, or by calling the DART reservation line (see below).  You need to make your trip request at least two hours before you want to be picked up, and you can make your reservations for 30 days at a time, up to 30 days in advance. Reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis.

During normal reservation hours you will receive an e-mail confirmation or denial within 30 minutes of your reservation submittal.  If your trip request is for a future day or is for a "Subscription" trip, we will send you a response within one hour after reservation submittal.  Trip requests submitted during non-reservation hours will be processed within the first hour of the next business day.

Reservations can also be made by calling 866.261.DART during the following hours:

Monday through Friday: 4:30 a.m. - 10:45 p.m.

Saturday: 5:45 a.m.- 9:30 p.m.

Sunday: 9:30 a.m.- 6:45 p.m.

You can also call at other times and leave a message.

Only a limited number of off-route deviations can be made on any given trip. Vans can deviate from their fixed routes to serve other locations within the service area, but they cannot necessarily provide door-to-door service due to safety and other operational considerations (narrow streets, cul-de-sacs, etc.). You may be requested to board/deboard at a location a block or more from your home or destination.

Estimated pick-up and drop-off times will be provided at the time you call. Please be waiting at the curbside 5 minutes before the given pick-up time.
