Hopelink's Child Development Center at Overlake is located on the first floor of a 308-unit housing complex accompanying the transportation hub at the Village at Overlake Station. This central location makes high-quality child care available and convenient for working parents. The Center serves families of all income levels, with half the spaces reserved for children in low income families.

The Center can serve up to 53 children, ranging in age from four-week-old infants to five-year-old children.  The Center accepts children at 4 weeks old and has them until they're either ready to start kindergarten or until age 6.

The Child Development Center at Overlake maintains teacher-student ratios that are better than the state’s average and the average determined by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC):

Class sizes per age group and teacher-student ratios are: Our rates are:
9 slots, infants, 1:3 $1,225.00/month for infants
12 slots, 1-2-year-olds, 1:6 $1,179.00/month for young toddlers
12 slots, 2-3-year-olds, 1:6 $1,100.00/month for older toddlers
18 slots, 3-5-year-olds 1:9 $950.00/month for preschoolers

The Center provides formula, diapers, meals and snacks that meet all daily requirements for all children.

Hopelink's Overlake program uses therapeutic ratios (better than state standards) in its younger classrooms so that the Center can teach the children and help them on an individual level.  The Center creates the curriculum to increase school readiness and provides resources to the families if needed.  Daily activities help children develop cooperative, social and cognitive skills as well as fine and gross motor skills.

All lead teachers have earned or are in the certification process for their Child Development Associate Degree (CDA). A cook, with a B.S. in nutrition, is on staff to provide fresh, nutritious meals and snacks. Children have access to medical and mental health professionals.

Goals of the center include healthy child development, improved school readiness, and increased family stability and self-sufficiency.

The center is open from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
