Volunteers Needed for Mayors’ Day of Concern for the Hungry
Volunteers are needed to help collect food for Hopelink on the Mayors’ Day of Concern for the Hungry 2005, a day-long event to benefit local food banks on Saturday, September 24, 2005. Throughout King County, food drives will be taking place at area grocery stores. Hopelink will be one of the recipients, hosting food drives at 7 different grocery stores in North and East King County.
At each of the grocery stores, at least two volunteers are needed
per shift to help collect food, but more are welcome. The event
will be split into two shifts: 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. This is a great opportunity
for families and individuals to get involved with their community and Hopelink.
To sign
up, please contact Jonnett Maurer, Hopelink’s Volunteer Coordinator,
