Hopelink Offers Free Financial Management Classes to Homeless and Low-Income Families
This five-session financial management training will be offered over the course of five weeks, meeting each Wednesday evening September 21 through October 19 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Hopelink’s Bellevue office, 14812 Main Street. Participants who attend all five seminars will receive a $50 savings bond for each of their dependant children, as an incentive to attend all five classes. To register, participants can call 425.943.7577. Free child care is provided with a reservation.
Each of the sessions will focus on a key topic of discussion, including: financial record keeping, smart banking tips, financial decision making, introduction to home ownership, managing credit, and taking care of taxes and insurance.
For many in our community, navigating the road to financial freedom and independence is a goal that may feel out of reach. Hopelink is pleased to be able to provide this series of five in-depth, financial management classes, which are sponsored by HSBC and taught by representatives from US Bank and volunteers from the community.
“This financial planning and coaching will dramatically change how the participants think about money,” said Doreen Marchione, President and CEO of Hopelink. “This provides them with the appropriate and necessary tools they need to effectively manage their money and create a financially healthy future.”
