KIRKLAND – Parklane Gallery commissions for the month of December 2006 will be donated to KIRKLAND ART CENTER’S ART OPENS DOORS to benefit local children by providing funds for transportation to this Hopelink-supported program in 2007. For 43 years Kirkland Arts Center has connected the community with art. KAC is a registered 501©(3) organization.

Redmond, WA -- With the holidays quickly approaching and the number of people in need in our community, Hopelink urges the public to be generous in donating food, new toys and clothing this holiday season. Hopelink provides food, housing assistance and hope through a variety of programs to 50,000 people annually in north and east King County. In 2005, Hopelink provided holiday gifts to 5,147 low-income children and the ingredients for holiday meals to 6,830 people.

REDMOND, Wash. – Hopelink is pleased to announce the hiring of Marilyn Mason-Plunkett as its new President and CEO, the result of an extensive national search. Ms. Mason-Plunkett, CEO of People for People, a Yakima-based nonprofit organization, will join Hopelink October 1, 2006, succeeding Doreen Marchione, who will officially retire at the end of the year after 15 years of service to the 35-year-old organization.
