“Breakfast with the Girls” on May 30 will help Hopelink continue its assistance to families in need.
Bellevue, WA – Thanks to an Eastside mom and some exciting local businesses, 300 moms will have a chance to be among the first to see the new Sex and the City movie on May 30, and give a boost to local social services organization Hopelink at the same time.

A special premiere screening of the new “Sex and the City” movie will be held at 9:30 a.m., on Friday, May 30, at Bellevue’s Lincoln Square Cinemas, with proceeds from a suggested donation going to Hopelink. Tickets to the event are free, but guests will be asked to make a minimum donation of $25. In addition to enjoying the film, opening in theaters that day, movie-goers will also be treated to a glam goodie bag, a continental breakfast, a drawing for stylish door prizes and a special appearance by local author Jane Porter. Donations from the event will support Hopelink’s efforts this summer to help families and children in need.

An Eastside mom and Sex and the City fan, Heija Nunn, decided to organize this event with moms in mind after seeing Sarah Jessica Parker on The Oprah Winfrey Show. During her recent appearance, Sarah Jessica Parker said she wished she could arrange babysitters so all moms would have the chance to see Sex and the City, The Movie and catch up with gal-pals Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda. Inspired by Oprah’s passion for giving, this “Breakfast with the Girls” event is a chance to see Mr. Big and give big to Hopelink, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping families.

Heija Nunn, a long-time community volunteer, said, “It is so exciting to be part of an event that allows moms a fun reason to ‘play hooky’ while supporting the fantastic work of Hopelink within our community. The support and generosity of local businesses has been amazing and will mean so much to those who rely on Hopelink’s important social services.”

The new Palomino restaurant at Lincoln Square, Nordstrom Bellevue Square, Tully’s Coffee, Alki Bakery and Lincoln Square Cinema have joined forces to make the “Sex and the City” event possible.
