Dart Bus Driver
– 2 PM part time drivers for Bellevue and/or Kirkland. And 2 full time for the Kent base (all positions require flexibility in the scheduling).

Work Schedule: Part time hours (20 hrs+/week estimate); split shift possible; 35 hrs. week + for full time
Compensation: Grade N-7 ( $13.35 +DOE)
Benefits: Pro-rated based on hours worked; full benefits if scheduled for over 30 hours per week

Must have CDL B or C with passenger endorsement and passenger experience to qualify for this job!
Hopelink operates Dial-a-Ride Transit (DART) under a contract with King County Metro. DART offers variable routing in some areas within King County. It operates on a fixed schedule, but one that has more flexibility than regular Metro Transit buses.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Provides safe, courteous and on-time transportation to customers in vans, minibuses or small buses; adheres to traffic regulations.
- Responsible for communicating respectfully with people of all cultures, languages, ages, genders, gender preferences, races, physical abilities, ethnic backgrounds, and religions.
- Communicates and interacts with individuals of various backgrounds and abilities; communicates with dispatchers by radio and provides verbal and written reports.
- Assists and secures passengers; provides special assistance as needed, such as opening doors, operating wheel chair lift, escorting to buildings and the like.
- Maintains schedules on regular or special routes; collects fares, issues transfers; provides verbal information to the public regarding routes, schedules and transfer points; determines safest and most efficient routes to specific address.
- Inspects vehicle before and after operation; cleans vehicle interior and exterior as needed; fuels and performs minor maintenance on vehicle.
- Maintains punctuality and regular attendance in order to provide dependable service to the public.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Seven (7) years driving experience with a demonstrated good driving record.
- Must be available to work a flexible work schedule which may include nights and weekends.
Licenses, certificates, & other requirements:
- Valid Washington State Class B or C CDL with passenger endorsement required; passenger experience required.
- As a safety sensitive position, all Drivers are subject to pre-employment and random drug testing.
- Must pass criminal background check clearance through the Washington State Patrol.
- Must have CDL B or C with passenger endorsement and passenger experience to qualify for this job!
