Host a Fund Drive
Your community group or business can help us with a Fund Drive by:- Creating a personal fundraising page.
- Organizing an activity to generate funding. Some popular ideas include:
- Skip a meal. Ask colleagues to skip a meal and donate the money they would have spent on food. This will also give the participants a perspective on how hunger impacts their daily lives.
- Hold raffles for a day off with pay, reserved parking spots, getaways, etc.
- Have an "empty your pockets" day (or week) and collect all the pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters from everyone.
- Host a holiday party and instead of bringing gifts, wrap a picture of the gift you would have brought for a friend or colleague to unwrap and donate the money instead.

Here are some examples of how far the cash your event raises can go toward helping people in our community:- $500 - Will provide necessary prescription for 30 days to meet the health needs of five senior or disabled clients.
- $250 - Will provide a homeless family a motel voucher for four days when our shelters are full.
- $100 - Will provide 50 nutritious meals for low-income children through the End Summer Hunger program.
- $50 - Will provide formula for two newborn for two weeks.
- $40 - Will provide an emergency food bag for two people for two days.
