Since 1971, Hopelink has served homeless and low-income families, children, seniors and people with disabilities in the north and east King County, WA. With service centers in Redmond, Bellevue, Kirkland, Shoreline and Sno-Valley (Carnation), we are the largest nonprofit organization in the area. Hopelink programs and services focus on five key areas: food, financial assistance, housing & family development, adult education & employment and transportation/mobility. Programs are aimed at helping people achieve stability, and helping them gain the skills and knowledge they need to exit poverty for good.

Hopelink has immediate openings for DART driver throughout King County at our Kent and Kirkland, WA location. This position will operate days, evenings and weekends on a fixed route with a flexible service area.

Summary:
The Center Manager is responsible for the general oversight of the Service Center. Directly supervises volunteers and Center staff, including Eligibility and Resource Specialists, Stability Resource Specialists, and Client Resource Specialist, and works closely with all programs to coordinate center operations and ensure quality services to the community. The ideal candidate works well in a high paced environment, can problem solve, multi task and is a flexible team player. This position requires the ability to stay calm under pressure and deescalate situations when necessary. Must be able to engage in a compassionate manner with individuals who demonstrate unpredictable behavior related to various kinds or crisis or trauma including substance abuse, mental health disorders, and/or homelessness.

Summary: The Part-Time Food Bank Supervisor provides coordination of the food program at various Hopelink centers; provides guidance, direction, and supervision to volunteer staff. Assists Food Team members as needed with weekly ordering of fresh and non-perishable food from multiple sources, maintains food bank inventory and overall cleanliness of food bank. Performs client intake, determines client eligibility, and provides appropriate information and referral. The Food Bank Supervisor provides leadership for the volunteer staff and sets the tone for culturally competent and client focused customer service for all food bank participants.

Summary: The Trainer provides safety and route training to Direct Operations drivers. The Trainer performs all regular training functions to prepare an individual for the driver position and provides leadership, guidance and training to drivers with various levels of experience (including drivers with a CDL and drivers without a CDL) with an emphasis on safety and customer service. The ideal candidate will have experience with training or adult learning and is committed to working on a team in a mission driven environment ensuring a safe and positive experience for all Hopelink passengers. A valid Washington State Class C CDL with passenger endorsement is preferred not required. Direct operations is a 365-day-a-year operation and this position may be asked to work any shift, including early mornings, nights, and weekends to maintain service levels and provide driver training.

They provide excellent customer service to all who walk through the door and respond promptly to phone and e-mail inquiries. The Energy Program is very fast paced and attention to detail is crucial. This position requires the ability to multi-task, stay calm under pressure and de-escalate issues when necessary. ERS staff must be comfortable working with families and individuals that may be in crisis and/or suffer from mental illness.
This position is a short-term seasonal position, lasting approximately 4-6 months. Candidates must be available to work September 23rd – December 20th.

Summary: The DART Vehicle Inspector performs pre and post trip inspections of Fleet vehicles to meet both DOT and FTA regulations. Inspects each vehicle prior to use, completes a report of satisfactory for safe operation and cleans interior and exterior of vehicle as needed. Responsibilities also include movement of vehicles within the service yard and organizing the order of departures based on direction from the control center. Work is approximately 80% vehicle inspections 10% parking of vehicles and 10% paperwork.

Summary: The Off-Site Transportation Coordinator (OTC) combines client reservation screening with direct interaction with our subcontracted service providers. The OTC will work directly with the public and will be stationed primarily at facilities contracting with Hopelink for on-site services. The OTC position will also rotate through the Bellevue Transportation office. This position reports directly to the Operational Manager. This is a rotational role between Bellevue Hopelink Center, Seattle Children’s Hospital, UW Seattle Medical Center and Harbor View.

Summary: The (ON DEMAND) Shuttle Van Driver provides safe, courteous and on-time transportation to customers in vans, minibuses or small buses, adhering to traffic regulations and maintaining schedules/routes. The driver communicates respectfully while providing excellent customer service to passengers.
